MINERVE AND OLARGUES
MINERVOIS WINE ALSO HAS AN EXCELLENT REPUTATION IN LANGUEDOC-ROUSSILLON - BEAUTIFUL PLACES AND GREAT VIEWS ARE INCLUDED ON THIS EXCURSION
This trip focuses primarily on the town of Minerve. But the surrounding area also invites you to linger.
You should plan a whole day for this trip.
#1 the pigeons of Orb
MURIEL LES BEZIERS
Built on a hill and strategically located, the former castle and its terrace offer a wide view over the Orb plain. The pigeon houses are one of the original features of the village, since since the Middle Ages everyone had the right to build a pigeon house.
#2 Abtei Fontcaude
CAZEDARNES
Perfectly restored, the abbey is a jewel of Romanesque art
Languedoc. And maybe a cultural event like the “Musiques au cour du vignoble” is taking place!
#3 Pure idyll
MINERVA
If you haven't had enough of small villages, you can take a detour to Bize-Minervois and Agel, but otherwise you should take the time to visit beautiful Minerve! The "Les Plus Beaux Village" village is located on a rocky outcrop in front of the gorges of the Cesse and the Brian, which flow together here
#4 a great wine region - you should plan at least one visit to a winery
WINE (CLOS CENTILLES)
The enclosed paradise!
#5 Marble from the vineyards
CAUNE-MINERVOIS
The village is surrounded by vineyards on the southern slopes of the Montagne Noire and at the foot of the Argent Double gorge. The village is famous for its red marble, which can be found in the Palace of Versailles, the Trianon and the Paris Opera.
#6 Wine and beautiful villages - typically French
OLARGUES
Olargues is a beautiful “Les Plus Beaux Village” village that we highly recommend. The journey is beautiful, but it also lengthens the trip considerably. Nevertheless, we didn't want to withhold it from you.
